Still at it and loving every minute!

Good "Old" Mom

Ok..not sure if I should laugh or cry. You tell me.....
If you know me, you know that I am Alanna, Kevin and Dustin's mom. Alanna being 25, Kevin 19 and Dustin THREE!!! So here I am cuddling in bed with my 3 year old one morning when all of a sudden he says with a horrified look on his face, "Mommy what's THAT?" as he was pointing to my neck. (keep in mind I am laying on my side and the lighting is bad). He said, "Its all wink-a-lee!". So of course I made a sad face and said, "I know, I guess I'm getting old". "Yeah, like a gwam-ma", he continued. So with a pouty face (irritated really) I said, "Gee thanks, I'm not a grandma". He could tell by the look on my face that he must have made me feel bad so he decided to make me feel BETTER.... so he said, "Its ok Mommy I know your not a gwam-ma, you just LOOK like one!!!"
SO? What do you think? Laugh? or Cry?

Boo-BEE!!

Saturday night I went to a concert at Irvine Meadows...as I was returning to my seat after buying a beer the security guard stopped me asking for my ticket. I proceeded to explain to her that I left my ticket in the bathroom on the toilet dispenser. She looked at me like I was lying (probably because she thought I was drunk, since I was holding a 16-oz beer in my hand....which costs me $12.50 I might add!) Just as I was about to swear on a stack of bibles that I really did have a ticket......a bee landed right on my right boob!!! I started screaming and jumping around, I hit the bee off but he left his stinger in my boob!!! Well the security guard which was a woman (to clarify) had to pull it out...It hurt like a ?? She called the paramedic lady over to make sure I was not allergic. She proceeded to take my pulse, check my breathing, listen to my heart and ask me a ton of questions, even after I told her I wasn't allergic!!! I guess she was bored! So the LAST thing she says to me, "make sure you keep an eye on it, it can swell up to 3 times its normal size!!!!" My BOOB???? 3 TIMES ITS NORMAL SIZE? Of all places!
Needless to say it did not swell up..... (at least I don't think so) AND she let me go back to my seat WITHOUT my ticket!!! What a fun night at the concert~!!!
